Uma edição super deluxe da trilha sonora de ‘200 Motels’, de Frank Zappa, marcará o 50º aniversário do álbum.
Lançado em outubro de 1971, o LP original continha músicas relacionadas a seu filme surreal de mesmo nome, embora nem todas aparecessem na tela.
“Totalmente autorizado pelo Zappa Trust e produzido por Ahmet Zappa e Zappa vaultmeister Joe Travers, o monstruoso “200 Motels 50th Anniversary Edition” reúne a trilha sonora original, recentemente remasterizada por Bernie Grundman no Bernie Grundman Mastering, junto com uma quantidade impressionante de inéditos e raros material”, diz o comunicado. Esse material inclui “demos originais, outtakes de estúdio, mixagens de trabalho, entrevistas e anúncios de filme junto com bobinas de diálogo recém-descobertas, revelando uma edição de áudio inicial do filme. Também está incluído um grande material, documentário em áudio nunca antes ouvido sobre o projeto.”
O conjunto inclui um livro de capa dura de 64 páginas, réplica de pôster de filme, chaveiro, cabide de porta de motel e novas notas de encarte. “Anos na produção, todo o áudio foi meticulosamente identificado e transferido ao longo de vários anos enquanto Travers cavava o cofre para criar uma nova alta resolução … patchwork estéreo digital master a partir das fitas analógicas originais”, observou o comunicado.
